Hey, just picked up D2 Deathinitive edition yesterday. I'm only a couple hours in but it's a good game I believe I'll enjoy through.
An issue I'm having however is some framerate drops, not major but when I get in open area and do quick camera rotating I notice drops.
I am using whatever version is sold on the disk I bought new yesterday. I can't find much info if any of patch releases other then some people saying don't download the day one patch as it breaks the audio and an area of the game. But info on a second patch that fixes the black screen issue but not the audio causes by first patch.
I also have seen that there are reports of crashing with high critical hits later in game and if a lot of enemies on the game playing on apocalyptic difficulty which is what I'm on.
So I am trying to find out if I should patch the game or not if any improve framerates in the game. I'd hate to download the one for performance only to mess up things elsewhere, as I can tolerate and still enjoy the game with fps drops, I just also don't want to find myself crashing to homescreen later as well.
