How to Unlock Snake

Snake can be unlocked through various means, both by playing Classic Mode, Vs. Smash Matches, and he can be unlocked in the World of Light Adventure Mode.
Snake Brawl
- Classic Mode: Beat Classic Mode 5 times as Link or anyone he unlocks to get Snake.
- Vs. Mode Matches: Snake is the 39th fighter to unlock by playing Vs. Mode Matches, see How to Unlock All Characters in Smash Bros. Ultimate for more details.
- Adventure Mode: Snake can be found in the World of Light Adventure Mode in the light realm inside the Metal Gear Base Dungeon.

| Neutral Special | Hand Grenade | Throws a grenade that detonates after a short time. Holding the button can delay the grenade toss. |
| Side Special | Remote Missile | Shoots a missile that flies forward. The direction can be adjusted while it flies. |
| Up Special | Cypher | Grabs on to a Cypher and flies up into the air to avoid attacks. Pressing down causes Snake to let go. |
| Down Special | C4 | Plants an explosive on the ground or directly on an opponent. Using down special again sets it off. |
| Final Smash | Covering Fire | Snake calls for reinforcements, and then uses a targeting reticle to lock on to foes up to five times. Missiles are launched at the targets. If you don't lock on anyone, the misslies flty toward the reticle's last location. |
